MOTO is back from the Virtual Systems and Multimedia conference

On the 4th of November, 2017 MOTO took part in the International Conference on Virtual Systems and Multimedia (VSMM), held in Dublin (Ireland).

MOTO brought a poster about the first validation activity performed by the project with the help of professional air traffic controllers (ATCOs). The poster highlighted the benefits of using virtual reality in order to measure ATCOs’ performance in terms of situation awareness, perceived workload and sense of presence.

Participants to VSMM had the chance to use a virtual reality platform to explore the surrounding environment, and to share their experience in a collective storytelling.

VSMM was the occasion for MOTO to meet experts from the academia and different fields like art, design, videogames and healthcare, to exchange views on present and future uses of virtual reality and to explore virtual reality applications which could prove useful for MOTO.
