First MOTO validation has started

The first MOTO validation activity has officially started in September.

The objectives of this activity is to assess the role of Embodied Cognition in a virtual control tower enviroement. Professional Air Traffic Controllers are involved as experimental subjects: they are asked to manage flights in different tower scenarios, which reproduced a realistic experience of visual, audio and vibration signals as in a real Control Tower.

A set of indicators are applied to monitor their sense of immersion in the virtual tower environment, including questionnaires and neurophysiological measurements. The results of this activity are expected to contribute to the identification of user requirements for realistic multimodal remote tower platforms.

The next validation activities will be performed in 2018.
